How come everytime i eat an apple my gums and lips really itch ?

These symptoms are most likely due to something known as an oral allergy syndrome, caused by apples. The oral allergy syndrome (OAS) is a form of food allergy that is caused by a person having an allergy to a particular pollen. The pollen, in this case birch pollen, has similar proteins found in a certain fruit, in this case apple, which causes a person to be allergic to both.

When a fresh apple is eaten, a person may experience itching, burning, or stinging sensations of the mouth, throat and tongue. The symptoms generally last only a few seconds or minutes, as the proteins that cause the symptoms are broken down quickly by saliva. Since cooking, baking or processing the food (as is the case with applesauce) breaks down these proteins as well, a person with OAS to a fresh apple can eat applesauce without symptoms. How come everytime i eat an apple my gums and lips really itch ?
An apple allergy is possible. I haven't heard of that before. I would guess maybe there might be some residual of the pesticide left on the apple? Be sure to wash it thoroughly. If it continues, try organic apples. If you still have this problem, talk to your doctor about getting testing for allergies. There are some foods that we react to that are similar to environmental allergens. We aren't really allergic to the food, but it is very close to the actual allergen. For example, if you have an allergy to Oak Trees, you may have an increased sensitivity to cantalope when the oak pollen is in the air.How come everytime i eat an apple my gums and lips really itch ?
does it kind of have a tingling feeling, if so you might have some sort of allergic reaction to apples or any other type of food. try and go to a doctor and ask them what is the problem, especially if it happens every time you eat an apple. it might cause an infection or swelling to occur

i hope i could answer your question!
Sounds like an allergic reaction. You can try cooking/baking it first and you probably WONT have a reaction. (Learned that one when I was a teen and medical insurance made me take allergy/asthma classes. lol)

Not sure how/why it works, but it does.
You're probably having some sort of allergic reaction
souds like a minor allergy or sensitive skin. I'd stop taking apples and try other fruits.
Your allergic
Your probably allergic to them
i'm thinking allergy.
