in the initial stages of development, the area swells up causing a lot of pain....then turns red,%26amp; gradually white puss
forms....all these cause a lot of unbearable pain.....once 1 boil dies off another one appears exactly on the borders......

If it is cold sores why don't you try abreva. This is what most people are using now and it will take the pain and infection down by 50%. There are other names for this cold sore treatment but abreva is what i use.How to prevent recurring boils on the border of the lips?
