Are you sure it isn't a cold sore because often a cold sore can appear in the crack between upper/lower lips and take 10-14 days to resolve. If that is the case, it's helpful to take lysine and acidopholous. If it isn't a cold sore, do you know if the rash is due to sun exposure or a food allergy of some type?
