I used Accutane when it first came on the market when I was in the Marine Corps. I had the same experiences as you as well as nose bleeds while out in the desert (29 Palms). I used extreme lip therapy chapstick. It helped about as good as anything else would. Stay the course with the Accutane. It's not so much fun when using it. However, 11 years after finishing the treatment I haven't had acne like back then ever again.
