I have tried everything...Neosporin for lips, Chapstick overnight lip treatment, camphophenique. They have been chapped for over 3 weeks now, nothing seems to help. I am 29 and have never had this before, just woke up and they were soo chapped in the corners, it is almost like they are fusing together, and when i open my mouth to eat the corners bleed. It is soo embarrasing. I dont think it's a cold sore, but i havent been officially diagnosed. Any advice?Majorly chapped lips in the corners of my mouth. Not a cold sore, but so chapped they bleed!?
I've had the same thing happen... my dentist suggested I eat more red meat for B vitamins. I tried vitamin supplements, but it was the actual red meat that helped. Dentist said ground beef wouldn't be the same as a nice beef steak.
Sure enough, whenever I find the corners of my mouth cracking, if I eat some red meat, it clears up within a day or so.

Try taking a vitamin B supplement every day.
I have very dry lips and I'm prone to mouth ulcres, and taking vitamin B definitely helps, since problems like that in the mouth are usually associated with vitamin B deficiencies when we aren't getting enough in our diets.
I take two 100mg B-12 vitamins, although I've taken B-6 and B-complex and they all work just fine. Take them every morning and after a few days, you should start to see a difference. I also use Blistex, which is great for chapped lips. That combo worked great for me and now I'm not self-conscious about my lips anymore!
Good luck!! :)
you need more vitamin a...or more beta caroteen...its not only good for your lips, but your eyes as well...
Blistex works like a charm for this... and increase your water intake as well... drink water until you can drink no more and then drink some more to help rehydrate your skin. And good old vaseline is great for the lips as well.. it absorbs into the skin but not as fast as some of the lip products do.
You are not getting enough vitamins. Try increasing foods with vitamins A %26amp; D or try a multivitamin.
