My angelfish's lips look swollen and lumpy, almost like tumorous growths, any idea what it is?

Any ideas how to treat it?My angelfish's lips look swollen and lumpy, almost like tumorous growths, any idea what it is?
Unless it has a ';fuzzy'; appearance, I doubt that it's what's been suggested so far. I'm adding a link to a freshwater disease diagnosis page, so you can check this out with photos for comparison. http://www.fishdeals.com/fish_diseases/s鈥?/a>

It's possible your fish does have a tumor - or that it's swollen from an injury, or he's fighting with another fish. There's no way to tell with any confidence without being able to see the fish.

If this does look like an injury, you might want to try adding a bit of salt (without added iodine, such as aquarium, canning, or kosher salt) at around 1 tablespoon to every 5 gallons in your tank (if you don't add salt already, and don't have salt-sensitive species in the tank as well). most fish will tolerate even the level I recommended, and this can help prevent a secondary infection. My angelfish's lips look swollen and lumpy, almost like tumorous growths, any idea what it is?
sounds like a fungal infection like try -WARDLEY Rx FUNGUS CONTROL

THAT WILL CLEAR ANY THING UP.. AFTER TREATMENT CHANGE THE WATER..
Could be a bacterial infection. Treat it with anti-bacterial. And keep the water clean.
maybe a fungal infection???
It could also be from fighting with other fish. When fish fight they often get each other on the mouth. If you have another angel fish, check his lips and fins too.

If you can rule out fighting as the cause, go with bacterial treatments.
