I had a lot of stitches near my lips because it almost got cut up in pieces, but now it's peeling off?

My scabish things (my lips are swelling) and part of the skin of my lips are peeling off...Is that normal? Is this showing signs of healing? Am I supposed to take the scab off? Is it bad so bad that I got to talk to the surgeon?

That is the skin repairing itself. Please leave it alone. If there is excessive swelling of the area, warmth to the skin, or a lot of redness, please call the surgeon as this may be infected. It will get worse before it gets better but you should be fine.
